Shipping Policy
Here at TheJavaPot.com we strive to deliver your order in the fastest, most efficient manner possible. Your shipping method and address, along with the type of item and its availability, determine how long it takes to get your order and how much it will cost to get it there. TheJavaPot.com currently ships to addresses in Canada and the United States via Canada Post. We ship to P.O. Box addresses, Alaska, and Hawaii via Canada Post Expedited Parcel or Xpresspost.
Standard Delivery Times
Within Canada:
- EXPEDITED PARCEL -- averages 2-7 business days
- XPRESSPOST -- averages 1-3 business days
Within the US:
- EXPEDITED PARCEL-USA -- averages 6-12 business days
- XPRESSPOST-USA -- averages 3-5 business days
Please Note: Delivery times may vary around the holiday season, therefore when making a purchase, please take into consideration the time of year and business holiday schedules, and shop accordingly.
In-stock items are usually shipped within 1 to 3 business days. Actual shipping costs are assumed by the purchaser. Shipping charges are automatically calculated in the checkout process based on the number of items, their weight, the destination of your order and your requested shipping method.
Customs
If you live in the United States, you might be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied after a shipment reaches your country. Additional charges for customs clearance are the responsibility of the purchaser; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they might be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office or post office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from TheJavaPot.com, you are considered the importer of record, and must comply with all U.S. laws and regulations. Generally, the customs forms for U.S. packages will list the value of your order's contents by product type.
Your privacy is important to us, and we know that you care about how information about your order is used and shared. We would like our U.S. customers to be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.
Also, we may provide certain order, shipment, and product information, such as titles, to our international carrier, and such information may be communicated by the carrier to customs authorities in order to facilitate customs clearance and comply with local laws. If the order is a gift, the package is marked "Gift," but the cost of the item is still stated on the customs form. Customs authorities require us to state the value of the gift item directly on the package.

Canada Post
Returns and Exchanges
TheJavaPot.com wants our customers to be 100% satified with the products that we sell. If for some reason you are not satisfied with an item you have purchased, you may return it, within 14 days of receipt of the goods, for a refund. It must be in its original condition with original packaging and accessories. Sorry, shipping fees are only refundable if the return is due to an error on our part. Items that are returned more than 14 days after shipping will be charged a restocking fee of 15% at our discretion. If you received an item you didn't order and were billed for it, please return it for a full refund. RETURNED MERCHANDISE MUST BE IN UNUSED, SALEABLE CONDITION WITH MANUFACTURER'S ORIGINAL PACKAGING.
PLEASE NOTE: In all cases of returns, please follow the steps below before sending product back to us. We cannot be responsible for items returned without prior authorization.
If you wish to return an item, just follow these easy steps:
- Simply log in to My Account and locate the order which contains the item(s) you wish to return.
- Click on the order to bring up the Order Detail page. On this page you will see the item(s) that you ordered along with a link under each item that displays as [Need to return this product?].
- Click on this link and you will be taken to a Return a Product page where you can fill out the form to receive an RMA/Return number for your return.
- PLEASE NOTE: All returns require approval before proceeding. You will be notified within 48 hours, via e-mail, the status of your return request and if applicable, further instructions on how to proceed with your return.
- You can track the status of your return, by following the first two steps above but instead of [Need to return this product?] beneath the item you are returning, you will see your RMA/Return number. Simply click on the number and you will be taken to a Track a Return Page. Here you will see the status and all other pertinent information regarding your return request.
Exchanges
Currently, we only offer exchanges on damaged or defective items.
Damaged or Defective Items
If a package arrives damaged, please e-mail us or call our customer support department. Claims against a common carrier must be made by us. Please save all original packaging for any claims. If an item has been damaged, you have the option of an exchange at no cost to you, or a full refund.
If an item is defective, please return it for an exchange (at no cost to you), or full refund.
Notification of Refund
We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item(s). You will receive your refund in the same manner of payment originally used for purchase.
Returning a Gift?
If you wish to return an item that you received as a gift, you will receive a gift certificate for the value of your return, which can be used at any time toward future purchases at TheJavaPot.com. The gift certificate will be either e-mailed to you or sent by post to the same address to which the original order was shipped.
If returning a gift, please contact us for an RMA number. You will need to provide the name and e-mail address of the person who purchased/sent you the gift, along with the reason for your return.
Did you use a discount coupon or gift certificate on a returned order?
If you paid for all or part of an order you returned, with a discount coupon or gift certificate, that part of your refund will be credited back to your account via another discount or gift certificate, available for use the next time you place an order at TheJavaPot.com.
